Com. Khandu alias Chandra Rai is a central committee member of CPB (MLM), the only party based on the left ideology in Bhutan. His great endeavor and selfless contribution for the sake of people and nation has lifted the party in the new height.
He is also a great hero. He served as a "fighting squad commander" at the time of initiation of the People's War in Bhutan. But unfortunately, on 4th June 2008, on the very initiation day, he was badly injured in the Nainatal incident and captivated by the state security force.
At present, he is in the "Chemgang Central Jail" with many other fellow citizens abducted by the dictatorial regime in the false issues. Their health condition has been the issue of great concern due to the worsening plight of the jail management system.
