Ill Health Strikes The Prisoners of Chemgang

Aug. 2009:The Bhutanese citizens those who have been detained under the charge of anti-national activists by the absolute monarchy of Bhutan, in 2007, are reportedly suffering from the health problems due to the negligence of the regime in the "Chemgang Central Jail."
It is said that they are pretended to treat well when the visitors happen to come from abroad. Rest of the time, they are thrown without any care to meet their uncertain fate.
Most of the prisoners are farmers and students hailing from south and east Bhutan. Among them, a few are the members of the sister organizations of some major political parties, struggling for the new and federal democratic Bhutan. But the regime has alleged them of being the activist of the Communist Party of Bhutan (Marxist-Leninist-Maoist) without any strong supportive prove and has sentenced them the degrading imprisonment.
Hence, all the political prisoners, in a joint effort, have appealed all the concerned political and non-political organizations and the world community to draw the attention of and pressurize the regime to review their health condition and for the impartial jurisdiction of their case.
